My Baby Eye Talk

Early of the month, not long after i have tendered my resignation, my boss started to assign great task to me.

She wanted me to organize a monthly optometrist talk.

P/S. Me. Alone. No manpower. No contact. No directions.

I know it wont help if I raise my concerns. We both know where my boss is heading to.

So ok, challenged accepted.

From external reach out and invitation blasting to internal arrangement and program planning, all by myself. At one point I was really fed up because as the event was getting closer, there were only 5 participants out of 200 invitations RSVP.

And I really really really do not want to defeat by my boss.

On the last day of RSVP, I have managed to get 30 participants for the event.

If you think my boss will give words of encouragement then you are wrong. 

What I heard from my boss is just:" I think people will FFK. I dont think people willing to wake up so early for the talk"

I managed to keep calm and fake a smile. But inside I was shouting:" EAT SHIT BITCH. IF YOU KNOW NO ONE WILL COME WHY ON EARTH YOU SET THE TIME AT 7.30AM AND ASKED ME TO ORGANISE THE EVENT IDIOTTTTTTTTT"

Dr Ong is the nicest doctor on earth I have ever seen. Brilliant, helpful and super down-to-earth.

Can you imagine he being the second earliest person to arrive and help me in all the set up.

Anyway,

Thank God, at last the response was overwhelmed. I was expecting less than 30 attendees but there were 40 plus attended the program.

Compliments everywhere and I almost burst into tears because I won in the battle wtf.

No la just kidding.

So,

When boss gives you lemon, make it a lemonade, and serve it with pride

Yeah, I did and I am proud

Now it's the time for you to beg me for my 200 contacts for future events invitation HAH!
